| Abstract: | Long-term data gathering with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) systems requires drastic optimization of power consumption to provide a long system lifetime of the network of battery operated motes. In this work, we discuss Harvester, a low power data collection application which uses our enhancements on standard MAC and network layer components provided by the TinyOS operating system. We present considerable savings in energy through synchronization. |
