Apart from research and academia I live a 'second life' centered around mountains, the outdoor and my mountain home:
Skiing
- I am an avid powder and off-piste skier, ISIA certified ski instructor and UIAGM/IFMGA certified alpine guide.
- My home base is Pitztal and the Arlberg where I guide for Alpincenter Lech.
Climbing
- Sports, multi-pitch, trad, boulder, ice... you name it.
- Climbing around the Muttekopfhuette/Austria
Mountaineering
- Mainly around the European Alps but also around the rest of the world.

Expeditions
