Abstract: Developing, testing, and evaluating communication protocols for wireless sensor networks is often a long and cumbersome task. The scarcity of resources available on common sensor node platforms drastically limits the possibilities for non-intrusive debugging and testing, as with existing testbeds it is commonly possible to collect information only from the serial output. In this demonstration we present the FlockLab testbed and show its benefits in providing non-intrusive testing and evaluation of sensor network protocols. In particular it allows to measure simultaneously on every node in the network state and power, and to accurately timestamp every measured event. The chosen observer architecture allows to easily scale the testbed. As the testbed is publicly accessible, this demonstration provides a hands on experience for potential users.
